In 2016, I bought my first arcade cabinet. Among many, many upgrades I made, one of the most significant was designing a system of artwork for the cabinet.
Arcade graphics were an interesting design challenge since they need to be incredibly vibrant. For each piece I had to strongly consider each material used, conditions such as backlighting, and application method.
The restoration project went viral on Imgur. I also wrote a blog dedicated to cabinet maintenance as an outcome of this project.
